Meet Eliott Bulpett 🖌️

Eliott is illustrating Abbie’s True Colours releasing with Owlet Press in 2025. Based in Buckinghamshire, England they are inspired by small everyday joys. And adding colour to everything! 🌈

Q) Tell us three fascinating facts about you.

🧦 I love making my own clothes, currently knitting a pair of yellow flower socks! I'm learning three languages - Spanish, Norwegian, and British Sign Language. I visited Sydney a few years ago!

Q) Who, or what, inspired you to become an illustrator? 

🖌️ I knew I wanted to be an artist when I was three years old. I didn't even know what an illustrator was until I was trying to pick a university course. As soon as I read about it, I knew it was perfect.

Q) What has been the best moment of your creative journey?

🤸 Getting to do this book is up there. It will be my first published book and I'm so excited! Last year, I was also able to paint my first murals which has always been a dream.

Q) If you could live in any fictional universe, which one and why?

🌈 I'd quite like to live in the world of one of my favourite picture books - Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. There are so many colours, patterns and interesting plants, it would be amazing to be surrounded by it all. And elephants are my favourite animal.

Q) When you’re not illustrating, where might we find you?

🧶 I'm most likely knitting, crocheting or sewing. And on rare occasions I'm not making something, I'll be out roller skating!
